These Terms of Service govern your use of Home Clean Guide. By using this site you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.
What this site is
Home Clean Guide publishes buying guides, comparisons, and product roundups for home cleaning equipment and supplies. It is an independent publication funded by affiliate commission. We do not sell products, take payment, hold stock, or ship anything. Every purchase happens on a retailer’s own site, under that retailer’s terms.
Using the site
You may read, print, and share our pages for your own use, and quote a short passage with attribution and a link. You may not republish articles in whole or in substantial part, including reworded or machine translated versions, scrape the site at scale, use its content to train a model, or run automated tools in a way that degrades the site for other readers. What we own and what belongs to others is set out on our DMCA page.
Accuracy of product information
Specifications, prices, and availability change without notice, and they differ between retailers and between countries. The figure on the retailer’s page when you check out is the one that counts. We state when an article was last updated and we correct errors when we find them, but we cannot guarantee that every figure on this site is current. Where a specification comes from a manufacturer we attribute it to the manufacturer rather than presenting it as our own measurement. Our method and its limits are described on How We Review.
Recommendations are editorial opinion
An HCG Score is our judgment applied consistently within a category. It is not a measurement and not a guarantee of how a product will perform in your home. Floor type, square footage, pets, and how often you clean all change which product is right for you.
Nothing on this site is medical, legal, or professional advice. Air purifiers move particles and cleaners remove soil. No product here is presented as a treatment for any health condition, and we repeat disinfectant or antibacterial claims only for products carrying the registration their market requires.
Safety
Some products we cover carry a real risk of injury or property damage, including pressure washers, gas powered equipment, steam appliances, and cleaning chemicals. Our guides are not a substitute for the manufacturer’s manual and safety warnings, and they do not override manufacturer guidance on which surfaces a machine may be used on. Follow the manual.
Affiliate links
Home Clean Guide takes part in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program, and earns commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site. The price you pay is unaffected. Commission rates play no part in what we recommend or how products are ranked. The full disclosure is in our Affiliate Disclaimer.
Third party sites
Links lead off this site to retailers, manufacturers, and standards bodies that we do not control. Their content, prices, terms, and privacy practices are their own and are not our responsibility. Any dispute about an order, a delivery, a warranty, or a refund is between you and the retailer.
Availability
We work to keep the site running and current, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of error. We may change, move, or remove any page at any time.
Disclaimer and liability
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Home Clean Guide is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from reliance on anything published here, or from a purchase made through a link on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Privacy
How we handle personal data, cookies, and analytics is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The version published on this page is the one in force, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
